Meet our Founder
Laura Best FBDO
Laura has worked in optics for over 20 years, with more than 15 years specialising in anterior eye health. Over the past four years, her work has focused specifically on tear film and dry eye management.
She has seen first-hand the impact chronic dry eye discomfort can have on quality of life, and is passionate about improving access to high-quality dry eye care across Northern Ireland.
Laura believes too many people are left managing symptoms rather than receiving meaningful treatment, and is committed to a more accessible, patient-led approach to care.
She has contributed to research in dry eye diagnosis, delivered education and training on dry eye disease, and works alongside Positive Impact and The Dry Eye Zone® as a consultant and CPD provider.

20+ years in optics
Two decades of clinical experience and patient care.

15+ years in anterior eye health
Extensive expertise in diagnosing and managing complex conditions.

A whole-person approach to dry eye care
A wider care pathway
For complex dry eye conditions, we offer a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary model through The Arzen Collective.
Dry eye can have systemic causes, and in some cases we draw upon the expertise of dermatologists, nutritionists and hormone specialists to help address wider triggers and support the best possible long-term outcomes.

The Arzen Collective
The Dry Eye Clinic is part of The Arzen Collective - a curated community of specialists working together to support your health, confidence and wellbeing.
This collaborative approach allows us to look beyond the surface and consider how different factors may be contributing to your symptoms.

Multi-disciplinary support
Where appropriate, we work alongside trusted specialists in dermatology, nutrition and hormone health to address underlying causes.
Our goal is to provide joined-up, personalised care that supports long-term relief and overall wellbeing.
